The test call
When you use the test call form, we use your phone number to text you a verification code and then place one automated call to that number so you can hear our AI receptionist. You must tick the consent box first. After the call, Bauer gets your number and a short summary of the call so he can call you back about it. Tell him (or email us) if you'd rather not be contacted and we won't.
Calls, chats and recording
Our phone calls and the chat on this site are answered by an AI, and it tells you so at the start. Calls and chats may be recorded: our voice AI provider, ElevenLabs, and the AI language model it uses process what you say to answer you, and ElevenLabs keeps a transcript for up to 90 days. We have switched off storing call audio. ElevenLabs may also keep data under its own policy.
What we keep
To enforce the test-call limits we keep a scrambled (hashed) version of your number, not the number itself, plus the time of your request and a scrambled version of the network address you used. We also keep a record of your consent (scrambled number, time, network address, and the wording you agreed to) for at least five years so we can prove you agreed. After a call or chat we keep a short summary and the details you chose to give us, such as your name, number, business and a good time to talk, so Bauer can follow up. Our phone provider keeps your number for as long as it needs to deliver the text and the call. Decide how long call summaries are kept and add it here.
Who else sees it
We use these service providers: ElevenLabs (the AI voice and chat assistant), Twilio (texts and phone calls), Netlify (hosting this site and storing the records above) and Cloudflare (the bot check). We do not sell your information.
Cookies and third parties
We do not use advertising cookies or analytics. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts and a bot check from Cloudflare (Turnstile), which means those providers can see your network address when the page loads. If you open the chat, your browser connects to ElevenLabs, which answers it.
Stopping
Reply STOP to any text from us to stop messages. To ask us to delete your number, contact bauer.johnsai@gmail.com.
